Slowly but steadily work continues on my Blood Angels. I've made it up to 750 points and will be playing my second game tomorrow.
First up this morning's addition is a carbon copy of my last 5 figures. It's another set of marines to fully round out a 10-man Tactical Squad.
This means I've now got 2 missile launchers in my force for dealing with armoured targets and I've also added 2 flamers in case Stan fields any big blocks of cultists against me.
Here is what 750 points looks like all together.
Next step is either a 5-man Assault Squad or 5 Death Company with Jump Packs....anyone have any thoughts or advice on the matter?

You need a dreadnought! Or a Storm Raven!
ReplyDeleteI definitely want to add a Dreadnought at some point but I'm staying away from larger vehicles. One of my goals is for this to be my 40k army that's easy to transport (unlike my Guard)
DeleteBegs the question then: Staying away from just bulky vehicles, or vehicles entirely? All foot and jump infantry would be pretty snazzy!
ReplyDeletePlus, I hadn't really though about it before, but I suppose the librarian could become Mephiston in a pinch for larger games...
Looking great thus far, love seeing it all come together like this. Helped inspire me to dust off the small Dark Angels I started with Dark Vengeance Launch.
No hard and fast rule on vehicles Dave, really its just that in a perfect world I want 2000 points to fit into a single 3 tray figure case. That's why I was thinking Dread, but I really wanted a multi-melta equipped version.
DeleteDeath Co.! They are so much fun, and with bolters still have 4 attacks on the charge (and can double tap into the enemy before charging)!
ReplyDeleteMight have to try that. Honestly bolters never even occured to me.....
